We made it back to Aberdeen last Tuesday night to cold cold! Five minutes out of Aberdeen they closed the airport because of a snow storm and we were diverted to Edinburgh. We had to sit in the plane for about an hour and half before they opened the airport up again! But the kids were troopers this was all after a 17 hour journey! We were glad to be home and not on a bus... they were going to bus us back to Aberdeen a 3.5 hour journey... that might have pushed us over the edge! The next morning was straight back to school. Ben took the day off to help so they are off to walk to school!

Sun coming up at 8:30 am!
Coming home later that day in the snow! This is 3:30 in the afternoon... back to the dark!

Here comes the weekend and sledding!!! I normally complain about our back garden because it is basically a big hill not the easiest to play on except roll down which is fun but hay not the easiest to play soccer! BUT when there is snow we have our very own ramp for sledding on our backyard! Here is Daddy making a sledding course for the kids!

Kids getting ready!

Dakota's first trip down!

Here is Asia!

Love that pic and that girl!

Ohhh Sierra she watched for awhile and then she went for it....

Asia and Sierra! She got down and hoped off and said FUN! That is her fav word right now, everything is fun or funny!

And then..... of course hot cocoa@!

Look at that face... do you think she enjoyed it? I love watching Sierra because she just goes for it, she is a firecracker but boy does she have fun and just live!!! Yesterday, we were nicely walking across the street with the traffic guard (lollipop man as they call it here) she decided to lie down in the middle of the road and would not get up or stand... so in the middle of traffic I have a kid lying down in the road, two backpacks, hats & gloves falling and Asia screaming 'She's going to get hit", it was hysterical... Sierra loved every minute of it, as she was being dragged across the street!

Then the kids went upstairs and came down in there swim suits.... what yes.... it was hilarious and wanted to play 'pretend' swim lessons! Then they went sledding again and had their swim suits on under their snow
clothes, I love it!
What a fun day!!!! These are the times you remember when you are curing the snow Monday morning because it takes 45 mins to walk out the door with everyone's hat, gloves, snow boots, scarfs, gloves, backpacks, snacks times 4 this even after I had set it all out Sunday night!
